About

Becca Tillinghast

I am currently a student practitioner, offering a few ways to work together at a reduced rate while I complete my training. Each session will honor the building of a therapeutic container and relationship with the belief that your body already knows more than it has been allowed to say.

My practice is built on a few simple commitments: that the body is intelligent, that healing happens at the pace of trust, and that no one should be asked to override their own autonomy in the name of wellness.

I work one-on-one, online and in person, in a therapeutic container that blends somatic attention with language — because sometimes the body needs to be felt, and sometimes it needs to be spoken.

Outside the practice room, I write essays and field notes on embodiment, consent, and the quiet rebellion of paying attention.

What guides the work

Sovereignty

You are the authority on your own body. My role is to support your exploration, not to direct it.

Slowness

The nervous system does not respond to urgency. We work at the speed of safety.

Embodied language

Words matter, but so do breath, gesture, and silence. The work holds all of it.

No bypassing

I do not sell transcendence. I am interested in what is real, even when it is difficult.
